FAQs
What happens when I submit a late requirement?
Ans. Minus 30% for first day late (meaning the highest grade you can get is a 70 but you can still get a lower grade if the work is not done correctly), Parent-Teacher-Student conference the second time it happens.
What happens when I submit a plagiarized requirement?
Ans. You will receive a failure grade for that requirement and a Parent-Teacher-Student conference to address the issue.
What happens when I do not do any home-works?
Ans. They are not graded (they’re for practice purposes) but it may reflect on your quizzes. They are used for the student’s purpose of wanting immediate feedback during office hours. They can be used for documentation purposes in case there’s a Parent-Teacher-Student conference. You are still expected to do your home works.
What happens when I do not do my reading assignments?
Ans. It will reflect on your warm-ups (or Do Now activities). The week before every progress report, Parent-Teacher-Student conferences will be held for students that are failing.
What happens when I am absent?
Ans. Check your e-folder for handouts or class activities done in class. DO NOT ASK the professor. You have two days to submit work. YOU are responsible to copy notes from your fellow classmates to catch up.
What happens when I am Tardy?
Ans. It will reflect on your warm-up grades. The week before every progress report, Parent-Teacher-Student conferences will be held for students that are failing.
How will I know what’s going on in Mr. Galian’s class (past, current or in advance)?
Ans. Check the website (www.rgalian.com). The message board contains a living syllabus which is a detailed biology syllabus with all the home works, reading assignments, and online activities and quizzes.
What happens when I am disruptive in class?
Ans. It gets documented. A Parent-Teacher-Student conference to address the issue is scheduled after the second documentation.
